One Year Later, and Still Stuck? That Was My Worst Fear.

You know what I used to fear more than failure?

Feeling the same one year from now.

fear, stuck

Still stuck.

Still scared.

Still telling myself, “I’ll start soon.”

And yet… that’s exactly what happened.

I Thought I’d Be Further By Now

I had dreams. Plans. Mood boards. Motivation.

I wanted to grow. I meant to change.

But somewhere between the vision and the action… I froze.

I told myself things like:

👉 “I just need more clarity.”

👉 “The timing’s not right yet.”

👉 “I’ll start when I feel more confident.”

But time? It didn’t wait.

The Quiet Ache of Realizing You’re Still… Here

It wasn’t a dramatic breakdown.

No rock bottom. No major crisis.

Just a quiet moment — sitting in the same place I was last year — realizing…

“I haven’t moved.”

Same patterns.

Same excuses.

Same loop.

It hit me like a gut punch.

What Hurt Most?

It wasn’t that nothing had changed.

It was that I knew deep down I could’ve changed something… and I didn’t.

That’s the kind of regret that doesn’t scream — it whispers.

It shows up in small sighs and silent “what ifs.”

Then This Thought Hit Me:

“If nothing changes… nothing changes.”

No more waiting for the “right time.”

No more waiting to feel ready.

No more outsourcing my future to fear.

So I Did the Smallest Thing

Not a glow-up. Not a rebrand.

Just one tiny action.

📩 I sent the email I’d been scared to send.

🧱 I set one boundary I’d been avoiding.

💡 I started the thing I kept saying I’d “do later.”

It wasn’t perfect — but it was movement.

And that was everything.

Here’s What I Know Now

Growth doesn’t always feel like a breakthrough.

Sometimes it feels like:

✔️ Getting out of bed instead of overthinking.

✔️ Choosing courage over comfort — just once.

✔️ Taking the first step, even if your voice shakes.

If You’re Scared of Being Stuck One Year From Now…

You’re not lazy.

You’re not broken.

You’re not “behind.”

You’re just waiting. Like I was.

But you don’t have to wait anymore.

Not for the timing to be right.

Not for fear to disappear.

Not for perfect conditions.

Start messy. small. scared. Just start.

Because the scariest thing isn’t failure.

It’s staying stuck when you know you’re meant for more.
